11.01.2016 COMMISSIONING PUMP STATION

On Monday January 11 the brand-new pump station at the dam between the Durme river and the Moervaart canal in Lokeren has been officially commissioned by Minister Ben Weyts. To reduce the problems of flooding in the Waasland region and to prevent the Durme from silting, Herbosch-Kiere was asked to build a pump station with a fish ladder which can pump up to 7500 litres of water per second from the Moervaart into the Durme.
