| HERBOSCH-KIERE N.V. was formed in 1975 by the merger of the firms Eugene HERBOSCH (hydraulic engineering department) and KIERE. Eugene HERBOSCH had a 75-year-old tradition in shipping and the salvaging of ships; KIERE had been well known for 25 years in the sector of heavy demolition and dynamiting. Since then, the N.V. HERBOSCH-KIERE, by means of a dynamic company policy of innovational conceptualisation and future-oriented investment, has succeeded in becoming a leading company in several water related sectors. Thus, for example it specialises in the following tasks: The last five years saw the penetration of two new market segments: the environmental related sector and foreign activities. In the environmental sector, the N.V. HERBOSCH-KIERE has performed pioneering work in a number of areas, such as the production of waste granulates and the cleaning of river and seabeds. In addition, it specialises in the construction and operation of dumping sites. Today, HERBOSCH-KIERE N.V. has activities in the Benelux, U.K. and France. HERBOSCH-KIERE N.V. makes quality paramount. Its active and well-trained management personnel and the skilfulness of its workers guarantees a technically top-level execution with appropriate equipment and technologies developed by the company itself. Today, the company HERBOSCH-KIERE N.V. and its subsidiary companies are members of the Group SOFICOM N.V. in Brussels, Belgium.
