Demolition of floating dock jetty
Demolition and removal of the floating dock jetty, a large reinforced concrete structure built in 1906. The deck of the jetty was cut into 18 sections, weighing up to 400ton. Each section was lifted onto a processing barge, processed into manageable pieces and removed from site for recycling. The supporting piles/caissons were removed using a 90ton grab attached to the sheerleg. Dredging of the area when demolition is completed.
